Methodology
The FDD Source Top 500 annually ranks the largest U.S. franchises by global systemwide sales, reflecting performance from the prior year.
Our objective ranking is based on Franchise Disclosure Document data, SEC filings, and other publicly available information.
To be eligible, a franchise must be a legally recognized U.S. franchise, with franchisees owning at least 15% of total units. The company must either be based in the U.S. or have at least 10% of its units within the U.S.
