The Alternative Board is a business advisory franchise that provides peer advisory boards, which are similar to a board of directors, and executive coaching to private business owners. TAB franchisees do this by assembling communities of business leaders and by connecting owners and operators with one another.

Allen Fishman, a former consumer electronics chain CEO, founded The Alternative Board in 1990. The brand has since expanded across the U.S. and into Canada and 20 other countries, including India, South Africa and Czechia.
