This chain of sub sandwich shops specializes in the Philly cheesesteak sandwich, along with a number of specialty subs. Jeff Osterfeld created the concept in 1983. He opened his first restaurant (then called Jeffrey's Delicatessen) in Dayton, Ohio, and renamed the brand in 1985, the same year he expanded into Cincinnati. It became a franchise in 1987. In addition to its sandwiches, Penn Station restaurants also serve their trademarked French fries and lemonade.
