The brand began in 2007 under the name Corks N Canvas, when entrepreneurs Cathy Deano and Renee Maloney offered wine and sip sessions to help revitalize the New Orleans business scene after Hurricane Katrina.
In 2020, Twist Brands, the parent company of Painting with a Twist, acquired Color Me Mine, a paint-your-own pottery franchise.
