David Povlitz began his commercial cleaning business in 1989, deriving the name from the Greco-Latin term meaning "to guide or uplift." Anago Cleaning began franchising in 1991 and has since spread throughout the United States, often working with such institutions as hospitals, schools, corporate offices and government agencies. Anago is headquartered in Pompano Beach, Florida.
